History Brief:
Originally part of Windsor, this was the only spot in the Connecticut Colony where the Connecticut River could be forded. This area was known as Pine Meadow. Commercial development began in 1829 and the town was incorporated as Windsor Locks in 1854. Town vital records begin 1873.
